FHCHC Hosting 2026 Community Health Fiesta on October 17th

Celebrate health, family, and community at Fair Haven Community Health Care’s annual Community Health Fiesta! For the second year, we're gathering on our 374 Grand Avenue campus to bring wellness resources, vibrant entertainment, and festive activities directly to our neighbors. The event will occur rain or shine!


Bring the whole family for health checks, nutrition resources, live entertainment, and festive activities. All are welcome!

Flu Shots & Wellness Resources

  • Flu Shots: Get protected ahead of flu season with quick, hassle-free vaccinations. 
  • Wellness resources, health screenings, and preventative health information.


Kid Zone & Family Fun 

Bring the whole family for an afternoon packed with activities:


  • Games & Face Painting: Interactive games and creative face painting for kids of all ages. 
  • Costumes: Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes!
  • Food Trucks: Enjoy delicious local food options throughout the event.
  • Readmobile: The New Haven Free Public Library will be present with books, library cards, crafts, and host a story time for kids.


Nutrition & Fresh Foods with Food as Medicine 

Discover how Food as Medicine connects families with healthy, delicious meals and makes nutritious eating accessible for our neighbors facing food insecurity:


  • Healthy Eating Tips: Get inspiring ideas and easy recipes for nutritious everyday meals. 
  • Fun for Kids: Hands-on activity where children can create their own "food skeletons" using healthy, fresh ingredients!
  • Meet the Food as Medicine Team: Learn about FHCHC’s initiatives addressing local food insecurity, hosting nutrition and culinary education workshops, and operating our Food Farmacy to supply healthy groceries to referred patients.
